Davao City – Kyro Mangosong and Deo Pondoc of BM111 Power Sports racing team eye to keep their winning momentum when Leg Three of the ENEOS Motor Oil Regional Underbone Gran Prix (RUGP) gets going this September 14 in Panglao, Bohol.

“Practice will be the key to maintain the winning form,” said the 12 year-old Mangosong, son of Bornok Mangosong, the country’s no.1 motocross rider and an ENEOS Motor Oil endorser on Thursday’s 19 June Davao Sportswriters Association (DSA) Forum.

Mangosong got his first victory in the ENEOS RUGP Leg Two, winning the LYR Moto Parts VMan Underbone 155 LTD Beginners category last 15 June in Tagum City fitting for a Father’s Day celebration with his dad.

His teammate and coach Deo Pondoc scored back-to-back wins in the Underbone 155 LDT Intermediate Class marking him as the leader on points after winning both races.

“We both have to practice more in preparation for legs three and four,” Pondoc said.

“Both riders scored impressive wins in Leg Two held in Tagum City. I expect them to show more in Leg Three,” said ENEOS RUGP Race Chairman Jong Uy.

Leg Two of the scheduled four races attracted some 120 entries noting 80 riders from Iligan City, Cagayan de Oro, General Santos, Bukidnon, Cebu, Tagum and Davao.

“Tagum City has been hosting the RUGP since 2009 and has been a very good host, thanks to Mayor Rey Uy who believes in Motorsports Tourism,” Uy added.
